Melt the margarine and let it cool. We separate the eggs, rub the yolks with the sugar until they double in volume and become a frothy composition. Add the vanilla essence, melted margarine, warm milk, a pinch of salt, sifted flour and mix everything. Now add the beaten egg whites and mix gently with a whisk until incorporated.

Pour the composition into a pan greased with a little oil and put the tray in the oven for at least 1 hour, until the top is nicely browned. Leave it in the tray until it cools completely, it would be good to leave it until the next day.

Before serving, powder it with sugar.
